Matt Isbell is the President and Co-Founder of EnvelopiQ, where he leads the company’s vision for turning complex building technology into integrated, human-centered experiences.

With more than 20 years of experience across construction, engineering, sales leadership, and technology integration, Matt has helped shape technology strategies for some of the country’s most complex built environments. His work is grounded in a clear belief: owners do not need more disconnected systems. They need technology that improves experience, strengthens operations, creates useful intelligence, and performs long after turnover.

That belief has shaped EnvelopiQ’s role as an owner-side technology advocate. Under Matt’s leadership, the firm helps clients make technology decisions early enough, clearly enough, and with enough governance discipline to protect the owner’s intent from planning through operations.

Matt works with owners, designers, builders, operators, IT leaders, and technology partners to connect the digital, physical, and human layers of a project. His focus is not simply what systems should be installed, but what those systems must enable: safer movement, better communication, operational clarity, reduced friction, stronger decision-making, and environments people can trust.

Before co-founding EnvelopiQ, Matt built his career in engineering, sales, and large-scale technology integration, developing a practical understanding of how technology decisions affect design, construction, budget, schedule, user experience, and Day 2 operations. That combination of strategic perspective and delivery awareness continues to guide how EnvelopiQ approaches complex projects.

Today, Matt and EnvelopiQ are involved in major projects across the country, including the IU Health Downtown Hospital, OCVIBE in Anaheim, Circuit of the Americas, the Indiana School for the Deaf and Blind, Elanco Animal Health’s global headquarters, and the Bottleworks District in Indianapolis.

Outside of work, Matt is usually chasing his passion for visiting the nation’s national parks with his wife, Kristen, daughter, Greta, and son, Gabe.
