Alex Susenbach is the Design Team Manager at EnvelopiQ, where he leads the team responsible for technology planning, system design, estimating, quality assurance, and design delivery.
With 18 years of experience across healthcare, education, government, mission-critical, commercial, and enterprise environments, Alex brings a practical understanding of how technology systems are planned, designed, installed, operated, and supported. His career began in the field, giving him a grounded perspective on how design decisions affect real-world implementation.
At EnvelopiQ, Alex leads a multidisciplinary design team of technology consultants, project engineers, and system designers. Together, they support a wide range of work, including technology master planning, facility assessments, system standards, conceptual budgets, procurement support, construction administration, and detailed design for complex building technology systems.
Alex’s strength is translating owner, operator, and user needs into scalable technology strategies that can be budgeted, coordinated, documented, and delivered. He helps ensure that systems such as audiovisual, access control, video surveillance, sound masking, lighting control, communications, and related infrastructure are not designed in isolation, but as part of a broader system of systems.
Before joining EnvelopiQ in 2018, Alex worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at Simon Property Group, where he supported design, implementation, and operation of enterprise technology systems across a large portfolio. He earned his degree in Computer and Information Technology from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and holds the AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist credential.
Alex is known for bringing technical depth, design discipline, and practical judgment to projects where early planning decisions have long-term operational consequences.
