Major Health Partners Wellness Center & YMCA is an approximately 80,500-square-foot health and wellness facility in Shelbyville, Indiana, created through a collaboration between Major Health Partners and the YMCA. The facility brings together clinical wellness, fitness, aquatic, recreation, community, and family-focused spaces, including a wellness clinic, indoor pool, gymnasium, walking track, fitness center, studios, and community gathering areas.
EnvelopiQ provided technology advisory, construction management, and integration services across the facility’s core technology systems, including audio visual, security, IT infrastructure, telephony, IP television, connected fitness equipment, building automation, and fire alarm. Our role was to help coordinate the technology behind a facility where healthcare, recreation, operations, and community use all overlap.
The value was a connected technology environment that supports how members, patients, staff, clinicians, instructors, and operators use the building every day. In a wellness facility, technology has to do more than function. It has to support safety, communication, connectivity, comfort, entertainment, operational control, and a user experience that feels easy across many different types of activity.
