The co-location campus for the Indiana School for the Deaf and the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired brings two historic institutions together on a 67-acre site in Indianapolis while preserving the identity and needs of each school community. The site will include 14 buildings and more than 540,000 square feet when complete. EnvelopiQ serves as the turnkey technology construction manager for site-wide technology across a first-of-its-kind combined campus.
This is a marquee project because the stakes are human before they are technical. Technology must support accessibility, safety, communication, learning, independence, and daily campus life for students, educators, families, and staff with distinct needs. A conventional scope-by-scope approach would create risk. The project requires a unified technology delivery model that keeps the user experience and operational reality in view.
EnvelopiQ’s role is to advise, coordinate, install, and integrate technology through one accountable delivery structure. The value is making technology dependable, accessible, and coherent across a sensitive learning environment where friction is not just inconvenient. It can directly affect confidence, safety, and independence.
